Regular Season Round 14: Kortrijk - Feyenoord 139-95

Very expected game when 13th ranked DutchFeyenoord (5-7) was crushed on the road by second ranked Belgian Kortrijk (10-3) 139-95 on Saturday. Kortrijk dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Feyenoord 's 40. Kortrijk forced 22 Feyenoord turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kortrijk looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Feyenoord 's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Darren Williams (178-2000, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who scored 24 points and 9 assists. Niels De Ridder (195-2001) chipped in 22 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). American guard Noah Cameron (190-1997, college: Wesley) produced 18 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian point guard Karolis Babusis (190-2000) added 21 points (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) respectively for the guests. Five Kortrijk and four Feyenoord players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kortrijk maintains second position with 10-3 record behind leader Oostende. Loser Feyenoord dropped to the fourteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Den Bosch.
